The peppers are grown under Calabria’s sunny microclimate, where sea breezes and mountain air meet to create ideal growing conditions. Known not just for their spice, these chilies are prized for their balance and depth—and are believed to offer natural antioxidant and antibacterial benefits, too.

Giancarlo Suriano didn’t invent Calabrian peperoncino—but he did give it a spotlight. Growing up among the peppers and olive trees of Cosenza, he fell in love with the flavor of home: bold, clean, and honest. Not fancy. Just good.
With a deep respect for tradition, Giancarlo launched Suriano, focusing solely on what he knew best—preserving the spirit of Calabria through its most iconic ingredient.
