Alice’s Cottage began more than 40 years ago on a kitchen table, born from founder Alice’s lifelong love of making things by hand. After moving with her husband to the Blue Ridge Mountains of western Maryland, her love of nature, fabric, and art gradually grew into a business—eventually moving from that kitchen table into a 19th-century summer kitchen on their property.

Today, that handcrafted spirit remains at the heart of Alice’s Cottage. Inspired by the birds, gardens, and changing seasons surrounding her home, Alice creates original watercolor artwork that becomes part of the brand’s designs. From creating the artwork and patterns to cutting, printing, sewing, and shipping, the products are made in western Maryland with the help of talented local seamstresses and a dedicated team.
